Getting Started with GenPT

Welcome to GenPT! This guide will help you quickly understand how to set up your account, run your first test, and navigate your findings.

1. Create and Access Your Account

  • Visit try.siemba.com to create your account.
  • After signing up, log in at try.siemba.com to access your GenPT dashboard.

2. Start Your First GenPT Test

  • Click the Start dropdown
  • Select Start a New GenPT Test

  • Enter the URL of the application you want to test

  • Simply drop your URL and click Next

3. Running Internal (Authenticated) Tests

You can also test internal or logged-in areas of your application.
P.N. This is not available in the trial environment.

An internal test means testing behind your login page, inside dashboards, settings, and other authenticated sections. This uncovers vulnerabilities not visible to the public.Best Practice:

Use a dedicated test account with normal user permissions (not an admin or real user) to avoid disruptions and simulate realistic attack behavior.

4. Choose Your Test Type

GenPT offers two test methods:

Site-Wide Test

  • Full in-depth scan across all pages and assets.
  • Recommended for comprehensive security assessment.
  • Authenticated site-wide tests automatically navigate login screens and MFA.

Express Test

  • Quick, high-level security overview.
  • Ideal when you need fast insights or want to validate changes.

5. Running an Express Test

  • Choose the Test Type.
  • Click Continue. Your test begins.

What Happens Behind the Scenes?

GenPT automatically:

  • Analyzes your entire tech stack and maps out all components.
  • Builds a custom test suite from thousands of AI-powered test cases.
  • Covers frameworks such as OWASP, SANS, and NIST.

6. Understanding Your Test Summary

Once complete, GenPT presents a clear summary of:

  • Key findings
  • Risk levels
  • Asset mapping
  • Your AI partner Security Officer (AISO) offers deep real-time insights and risk-based remediation guidance.

You can generate a PDF report anytime from this page.

7. Exploring Findings

  • Click See All to view all findings from the tested asset.
  • See a detailed breakdown of all risks and status.

Drilling Into a Finding

See vulnerability details to assess business impact, compliance exposure, and prioritize remediation. Analyse how critical this issue is and its implications for your organization’s security posture.

Each finding includes:

  • Vulnerability details
  • Business impact and exposure

  • You can also copy request/response data for debugging or internal tracking

  • Step-by-step reproduction steps and Proof of Concept (PoC): Validate the issue instantly step-by-step with PoC, and evidence

  • Risk matrix and scoring across frameworks: Assess risk ratings and metrics from multiple frameworks at a glance.

8. Download Your Report

Export a full audit-ready PDF report and share it with your team.

9. Add Team Members

Your trial account allows you to add up to 5 users. Invite your team to collaborate easily.

10. Dashboard Overview

Your GenPT dashboard provides:

  • Severity and status trends
  • New findings identified
  • Tests performed
  • Assets tested
  • AISO insights
